We'll try and keep the boating puns to a minimum, but there are some that are unavoidable!

Welcome to BoatHQ.ca. Feel free to drop a line in this forum to introduce yourself and say hello.

If you have any Forum categories that you think should be added, feel free to let us know here. We're still developing the best way to divide the forum threads up: we want to have enough areas to keep things organized, but not so many that it's difficult to decide where to post things.

For those of you not used to the Forum concept, watch for a short tutorial on the main site soon.

Mostly, thanks for stopping by and participating in the BoatHQ Community!

On a more personal note — thanks for stopping by. Many friends know me, and my company Moxy Webworks, and I just wanted to quickly explain why we've created The Admin user, instead of just signing on as me. Our hope is to grow this community into a vibrant place, and MOXY Webworks will also be growing quite a bit over the next few months. So I'm not sure who'll be in charge on any given day of "administering" here on BoatHQ. That's why we've created a general Admin account that anyone on staff can supervise.

Rest assured, I will be stopping in myself very frequently to participate in the conversation, even though I'm more of a cottager than a boater :-)

So talk to us! Let us know what you think, need and want. We're using an off-the-shelf social community package called JomSocial, so we can give some feedback to its developers once we get it from you.

Meanwhile, we'll do everything we can to help you get the most out of BoatHQ.ca — so, have fun!
Jesse
